Chenganoor Mahadevar Temple

This temple is regarded as the Shakti peetham related to the legend of Daksha's sacrifice and Sati's self immolation. Legend has it that the reproductive organ from Sati's body fell here, after her corpse was cut into several pieces by Vishnu's discus.

Aranmula Temple
The famous Parthasarathi temple on the banks of the holy river Pamba, 8kms from Chengannur is dedicated to Lord Krishna attracts large number of devotees.


 
Parumala Church

Thiruchittaru Sree Krishna Temple ( Dharmar Ambalam)

This divya desam is situated 5 miles North west to Thiruvanvandoor near Chittaru and also very close to Chengannur Mahadeva Temple. We can reach this place by getting down in Chengannur Railway station. Bus facilities are also available to this place.

Thiruchengundranur Imayavarrapan Temple is a name given in Tamil (Thiruchengundranur of around 900 AD must have become Chengannur in Malayalam). The speciality of this place is that Dharman, one of the Pandavas worked in raising this temple and did lots of spiritual works in developing the temple.

This place is now called with the name "Thirucchittraaru", by the people. This temple is also called as "Perumal Temple (kovil)" and "Vishnu temple (kovil)". Click Here for more details

A palce with a collection of gigantic rocks where it is rumoured that the Paandavas stayed during their Vanvaas

A place in Ala panchayyath, is a big pond which is going to be a tourist place soon. There is a natural lotus lake and is located 3 km away from Chengannur Town.

It is a very famous and old Hatchery located near Christian College


Pazhaya Suriyani Pally
